The one on the left is the usual glossy print you get from the developing lab. The one on the right is printed to canvas. I know it's difficult to see much difference at first glance. In person the differences jump out at you. There is a depth of detail that doesn't show well when seen on a monitor. The entire feel is much greater and richer. When we display this at shows it draws people to our area. If you look closely at the boy's gray shirt the canvas print appears more textured in your monitor. In person, the wrinkles appear to jump out because of the greater depth of the print.
Glossy paper is very flat; our fine weave canvas is woven. We are printing to a very "un-flat" surface which is what gives fine paintings their very special appearance.
If you want to send a digital picture for an 8"x 10" print you should send us a 2 mg jpg file or a clear print that size. The larger the picture the clearer the print.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW
If you send us a photograph it will be returned in the same condition we receive it. PLEASE, do not send irreplaceable prints. Find a friend or a local store who can scan it for you and send us the digital file. Large files are better than small files for 8"x 10" prints. A file of 2mgs is not too big for this process.
Your print will have a white border of between 1/2" - 1". This is to allow you to mount your new print in a matted frame. If you want to use normal frames you can easily cut this border off leaving the print in the "normal" size.
