The Internet is a constantly changing landscape of new services, old services revamped to look new, and sometimes complex ways to accomplish simple tasks.

Those of us who develop products and services are prone to letting the language get away from us and forgetting that not everyone will immediately understand the buzz words we use.

Hey I do it, too, just ask my wife. There has been more than one occasion when (after I have excitedly explained something new that I just read on the Internet or spent a week developing) she has met me with a blank look and replied, "What does that mean to the rest of us, Michael?"

So to try and make amends for my (and others) less-than-clear offerings I have started a new version of our existing blog, The Myklin Muse. In the newsletter, I will talk about new concepts you read about or hear on the TV and show you ways you can use them in your life. I plan a lot more explanation and less of the "Wow!"

  1. Why should you be interested that Google has started providing targeted advertising to a British broadband TV station?

  2. How can your family (or group) use private bulletin boards to stay in touch.

  3. How your group could use private, EBay-style auctions as fundraisers.

  4. How you could reduce your traveling time and save money if your employees are scattered across many locations.

  5. What is a "double opt-in"? Opt-out?

  6. Reminders to protect your computer by running your anti-virus software (plus I'll share the names of the 2 free programs I use to stay virus-free).

Other topics will be covered in this newsletter. Your suggestions will be used for articles so please don't be shy about asking questions.
