We managed to find some used (but usable) bedroom furniture in our community. The two pick-up truck and trailer loads were delivered to the Salvation Army in Ft. Smith, AR soon after the Katrina Disaster.
While no amount of giving will truly replace what the victims of this tragedy lost, we hope our small gesture of support will help the displaced start new homes.

There were over 25 complete beds and 2 dozen dresser/desks available for the Salvation Army to use in shelters and to give to the displaced victims trying to start new homes.
The Salvation Army told us they have a constant need for perishable food items. They welcome milk (including powdered milk), coffee, bread, and large cans (A10's) of prepared foods so they can continue to serve the needy in their shelters.
The next time you shop, please add a couple of items to your basket and stop by your local shelter. Your help will always be welcome.
